Richard Yochum has been with Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center since 1978, having served in his current capacity as President and CEO since 1993. Previously, he served as Assistant Administrator at City of Hope National Medical Center, and he has been an instructor and lecturer at the University of La Verne, Pasadena City College, and at various seminars and conferences.
Yochum also serves as President of the PVHMC Foundation. He is active in many professional and community organizations, serving as Chairman of the California Healthcare Insurance Company, Board Member at Keck Graduate Institute, Board Member of Inter Valley Health Plan, and Association Member of the L.A. County Fair Association.
Past service includes roles as Chairman of the Hospital Association of So. California, and as a Board Member of numerous civic and non-profit organizations. He has also received numerous awards and recognitions in business, healthcare, and community service.
Yochum has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from Cornell University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
