Teresia L. Bost serves as General Counsel at health technology company 54gene, where she oversees legal, compliance, and cybersecurity functions. 54gene advances the state of healthcare through large-scale discovery and translational research, advanced molecular diagnostics, and clinical programs for the benefit of Africans and the global population.
Before joining 54gene, Bost was the Vice President / Associate General Counsel, Corporate and Securities at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. She led a global team responsible for strategic support of securities matters, corporate governance, and finance matters. She also provided legal support to the global Corporate Compliance Program, Anti-Corruption compliance activities, and Supply-Chain management.
While at Jazz, Bost and her team supported the multi-billion-dollar acquisition of GW Pharma. She also served on the Integration Management Office Core team, where she contributed to the successful integration. Additionally, Bost previously held the role of General Counsel at Quartet Health, a healthcare technology company.
She worked at Celgene for 14 years in roles of increasing responsibility, concluding as Senior Corporate Counsel and Executive Director. She gained extensive experience in supporting a global biotechnology organization from early clinical development through to launch and commercialization of products. During her tenure at Celgene, she contributed significantly to the success of their business, namely supporting two
strategic acquisitions and several successful product launches, among countless other
Bost began her career in healthcare as an Associate Attorney at the law firm Sedgwick.
She also provided service on the Board of Trustees of BranchPoint Church in New
Jersey, as Treasurer and on the Pastoral Search Committee; and the Board of Trustees and Legal Advisor to the Good News Home for Women in Flemington, NJ.
In addition to her notable career achievements, Bost has been recognized and honored by the Central Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for her outstanding accomplishments in international law (2017); the Executive Women of New Jersey, Salute to Policy Makers Award (2016); Fisk University, W.E.B. DuBois Talented Tenth Alumnae Award (2016); and the New Jersey Lawyers Recognition, Rising Star (2007).
Bost holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in European Business Law from the University of
Amsterdam, a Juris Doctor (Doctor of Law) from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English with a concentration in French (cum laude) from Fisk University in Nashville, TN. She is also Certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in HR through eCornell.
