The KGI commencement ceremony will be on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Pomona Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center in the California Ballroom. Doors open at 9 a.m. for guests.
Graduates should arrive by 8 a.m. to the Pomona Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center.
Commencement will be between 2 to 2.5 hours long.
Each student will receive four Commencement tickets. Tickets are complimentary to students. The Commencement ceremony will also be livestream for individuals who are unable to attend the ceremony. If you miss the livestream, you can view our commencement ceremony video archive.
Tickets are limited. Graduates are able to give extra tickets to friends.
Graduates can pick up their tickets in person during the week of April 29, 2019 at the KGI Café from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Students must show their student ID to pick up their tickets.
Graduates will be emailed early February notifying them to order their regalia at the Huntley Bookstore.
Graduates will receive the applications via email by Student Affairs. There will be auditions for each position.
There will be no parking fee. We advise that you arrive early to the ceremony.
Yes, Grad Images will be taking portraits of graduates at Commencement. Grad Images will be emailing the photos to each graduate after the ceremony.
Children age two years and younger do not need a ticket if they will not occupy an additional seat.
If the student completed all their degree requirements and passed their final classes, they will receive their diploma right after the Commencement ceremony at the student regalia room in the Sonoma Ballroom.
Only service animals are allowed at Commencement.
Yes, there will be a lactation room on site.
Yes, there will be wheelchair seating available with one companion seat. If you will need ADA accommodations, please email the Disability Coordinator, Andrea Mozqueda, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yes, graduates may wear their own club stoles and cords. Flower leis are permitted as well.
