Orientation and Academic Prologue are required activities for all students. In combination, these programs will introduce you to KGI’s culture and campus resources and identify your individual strengths and areas for growth. The writing and quantitative skills assessments you will take during the Academic Prologue stage will be used to determine course placement. In addition, the required team-based project will give insight into the potential and challenges created by new technology, and showcase the value and importance of teamwork, interdisciplinary, professionalism, and public presentation skills.

Please explore the details of the program below so you can be prepared to successfully participate in each day’s activities.

We will also point out local banks to ensure students know where to go to set up accounts. The tour takes place on sidewalks and surface streets so comfortable shoes are encouraged; students with mobility issues should contact the Office of International Students and Scholars in advance to make arrangements to join the tour.

    Lunch will be provided.

What to Bring: Light jacket to wear inside the room. Layers are encouraged as the tour will take place outside and summer nights can be quite warm.

The day includes a great deal of walking, thus comfortable shoes and light clothing are encouraged; students with mobility issues should contact the Office of International Students and Scholars well in advance to make sure assistance can be provided.
