We are excited to celebrate all of our graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021. This year, celebrations will be different, and if you are at home, below are some simple but important tips to help commemorate your incredible accomplishments!
Dress for the occasion
Not only should you wear your regalia—we recommend you dress up underneath your gown as well! If you have loved ones over to celebrate, they can also take this opportunity to dress up. It will be a nice break from being in comfy tees and sweatpants!
Set the stage
Download the KGI materials below. Hang up some banners, balloons, and streamers (whether indoors or outdoors) to help make the occasion more festive! Set out some drinks and snacks. Create or find a graduation playlist to play pre- and post-commencement.
Have a photoshoot
You will want to document this day, even if it isn’t quite what you expected. Afterward, put together a video montage or print the photos and keep them in a photo album. You’ll be thanking yourself in the future!
Host a virtual party with loved ones
If you’re socially distanced from extended family members and friends, make sure to send them the Zoom link to the KGI Commencement Ceremony so they can join in on the celebration. Then, switch over to a video phone call or create a Zoom link to continue the festivities.
Give a commencement speech
It may sound cheesy, but this is the perfect time to reflect on your journey and thank the people who have supported you through the years. We know your loved ones will appreciate it.
This past year has taught us how to celebrate very special moments in new ways. We hope these KGI-branded, downloadable materials can be used for your at-home commencement celebration event.
