Session objective: Check in and receive your KGI ID card, name badge, and welcome gift. Light breakfast will be available for consumption, before entering the auditorium.
Session objective: Faculty will greet students as they enter the auditorium
Session objective: Welcome remarks from KGI’s president and deans, and an overview of the objectives for the day.
Session objective: Learn about the KGI community, resources, and how to prepare for the transition into graduate/professional school.
Session objective: Review important software/computer information and the registration portal, Empower.
Session objective: Both the Financial Aid Office and Student Accounts will provide a general overview on the various access to fund the programs as well as the process on billing and refunds.
Session objective: The Student Government E-board will cover experiential learning at KGI, and the importance of getting involved and creating community with other students and members outside of KGI.
Session objective: Learn how the Alumni Engagement office works to foster a sense of community among students, alumni, and KGI while supporting a sense of connectedness.
Session objective: Orientation leaders will guide students in groups to tour and visit with the staff members of The Claremont Colleges Services offices and library.
Session objective: Nourish your bodies, rest, and meet others.
Session objective: The academic program breakout session is an opportunity to meet with program directors to learn about your coursework, program expectations, and get to know your fellow classmates.
Session objective: Receive individual assistance with items related to financial aid, student accounts, technology support, and class registration.
Session objective: Orientation leaders will help you become familiar with various classrooms and campus spaces available for studying, relaxing, and group work.
Session objective: This session is an opportunity to set intention(s) for the year and create a vision board to provide a visual reminder of your goals and why you are here at KGI. This will also serve as a way to connect with other students.
Session objective: Spend some time getting to know classmates across all KGI programs in a casual setting.
Session objective: Visit this room at any point in the afternoon if you need a quiet break to help replenish your energy. Essential oils and meditation music will be available.
