Advances in technology and automation capabilities have led to significant changes in workflows within biologics’ process development functional areas and have enabled accelerated business processes. However, the connection and integration of these enhanced systems and capabilities across an entire process development organization to create efficient workflows has posed a challenge across the biotechnology industry.

Through a series of surveys, interviews, and literature searches, the Spring 2019 Gilead Team Master’s Project is evaluating disruptive technologies for data harmonization and integration of enhanced systems across process development. Following the evaluation process, an implementation plan will be developed for an information and data infrastructure solution that enables transparency and rapid data review to improve interconnectivity and condense clinical development timelines.
