About PPC Students

The greatest strength of our program is the students themselves. We work diligently to create a group of future physicians whose potential exceeds beyond what their current academic transcript would suggest. We seek students with strong clinical experience, integrity, interpersonal skills, collegial competence, and passions beyond medicine. Just like medical schools, we evaluate each applicant holistically.

Some of our students come to KGI directly after completing their undergraduate education, but we’re seeing more students with additional work and life experiences. Our students come from schools across the nation. This includes schools such as:

• Courtney Hanlon PPC ’14, MBS ’15:  One of only three students in the country awarded a 2014 Donald A. King Summer Research Fellowship.
• Stephanie Wong PPC ’15:  Member of  winning Team Masters Project (Pfizer) created manual for increasing diversity in clinical trial participation for various rare diseases
• Stephen Wertheimer PPC ’14, MBS ’15:  full-time employment as Regulatory Affairs Associate at Amgen
• Arnima Bhasin PPC ’14, MBS ’15:  full-time employment as Senior Analyst at DeciBio Consulting
• Franco Pillsbury PPC ’13, MBS ’14:  Class president at USC Keck School of Medicine
• Stacy Crawford PPC ’12, MS’13, Kate Brown PPC ’12, MS’13, Kathleen Coquia PPC’12, Nicholas Generales PPC’12, Robert Krattli PPC’12 and Sarah Sotelo PPC’12 : co-authored an orphan drug designation approved by the FDA for the drug pentoxifylline for the treatment of Behçet’s disease.
