Medical Spanish Immersion
According to the United States Census Bureau, Hispanic people made up 19% of the US population in 2022. And, in 2019, Spanish was the most common non-English language spoken in US homes (62%). However, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) reported that, in 2022, only 6% of physicians were Hispanic, and only 2% of non-Hispanic physicians spoke Spanish.
In light of these statistics, you can strengthen your career in healthcare by developing proficiency in medical Spanish.
As a KGI student, you have the opportunity to gain Spanish language training through an international medical immersion experience. CENEU hosts a two-week session in Ensenada, Mexico, solely for KGI students, which begins just before the fall semester. Including travel, this KGI-exclusive program costs $2,200.
MCAT Review Course
According to the AAMC, 2025 medical school applicants had a mean MCAT score of 506.3, while matriculants had a mean MCAT score of 512.1. With these statistics in mind, our team helps you stand out during your medical school application process by offering a rigorous MCAT preparation program.
We provide KGI students access to the BREM method MCAT Prep Course at a discounted rate of $1,500.
Advanced Skills Training in Medical Assisting
Clinical hours provide tangible evidence of your commitment to patient care. A growing number of programs prioritize the quality and depth of clinical interactions, which is why we offer the Advanced Skills Training in Medical Assisting workshop.
This workshop increases your eligibility for medical assistant (MA) positions by teaching:
- Basic MA clinical skills
- Patient privacy and HIPAA regulations
- OSHA compliance and bloodborne pathogen standards
- Patient care and safety standards
The MA training workshop is available to KGI students at a 50% discount, bringing the total to only $750.
Prerequisite Completion
If you need additional prerequisites for your healthcare application, we offer three summer courses: anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. These courses typically cost $499 per credit, but KGI pre-health program students receive a discounted rate of $299 per credit.
As an Institute, we have built momentum over the past year in examining our program offerings to ensure that we are serving the needs of the biotechnology, healthcare, and life sciences sectors—all with an emphasis on advancing our academic excellence and enhancing our student experience.
