CSHP Announces Daniel Kudo as the 2020 Affiliate Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award September 29, 2020 Share: The California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) has named Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) Professor Daniel Kudo as the recipient of the 2020 Affiliate Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award. This award recognizes one individual annually who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Society at the affiliate level. In addition to his role at KGI, Kudo serves on the Government Affairs Advisory Committee and Council on Professional Affairs for CSHP. He has provided industry insight to two major California legislative bills, AB1131 (2019-2020) and SB 1254 (2017-2018). He is a founding member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Group, which serves as a network of pediatric and neonatal care pharmacists in Southern California. Kudo has gone above and beyond in volunteerism as a huge supporter and contributor statewide and regionally for the Affiliate Chapter of San Gabriel Valley. Serving as a mentor to many CSHP members, Kudo says: “whatever you do, be passionate about it. If you do that, you’ll find that what you get back is so much more than what you give.” Founded in 1962, the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) is a non-profit professional association established to serve the needs of hospital and health-system pharmacists. Representing over 4,000 members who practice clinical pharmacy and specialized medicine, CSHP members share a common mission – to promote wellness, patient safety and the optimal use of medication.
