International Blog: May 21, 2018

Hello Peeps! I can’t believe that we are halfway through 2018. This Spring Semester has definitely been great and was truly a rollercoaster ride for each of one of us here at KGI. Unlike most other weeks during school, now that it is actually over and we successfully completed our first academic year, I spent my entire week catching up on long lost sleep, chilling, hanging out with my friends, and talking to family back home. I also had to start packing my bags since I am starting my summer internship on May 29, 2018 in Hercules, California, a city near San Francisco. I am super excited to be spending my summer in the Bay Area. It is a definitely a dream come true to be doing your internship in the world’s biotech hub. I already have plans made up with my friends to visit the Golden Gate Bridge and the Mission Dolores Park. I know you must be super jealous reading this, but in just three more months you get to experience every little incident that I have been talking about these past few months. So just remember, the best things come to those who wait :P.

But enough about for me for a moment, another amazing thing happened this past week, I was extremely proud and happy for a very special person in my life who won the award for the School of Applied Life Sciences Staff of the Year. Yes, you did guess it right :P, it’s our very own International Student Advisor and my most favorite person at KGI—NUSHA SHISHEGAR. I am so excited for all of you to meet her during Orientation and trust me you will feel like family as soon as you start talking to her! Close to 90 days left for Orientation, right? Countdown begins people! Keep the excitement levels high up 🙂 Next week, I will have lot more interesting updates on my first internship day!
