KGI and University of La Verne Sign Articulation Agreement

Keck Graduate Institute and University of La Verne have partnered help students with the transition from undergraduate programs to graduate school. Students at the University of La Verne, who meet specific requirements, will be able to apply to KGI’s Masters of Bioscience program without having to take a standardized test or pay an application fee.

University of La Verne students with coursework in the Life Sciences have the unique opportunity to transition from a BS degree to a two-year Master of Bioscience degree at the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI). This graduate degree emphasizes the translation of basic science and engineering into product development and commercialization and prepares professionals for leadership positions in bioscience industries. KGI’s unique curriculum allows students to build on their science education backgrounds and become educated in the business of the biotech and life sciences industry. Students will be able to conduct applied research, while understanding the operations and management of small and large biotech companies. Students will have the opportunity to specify their studies in five different concentrations:

  • Bioprocessing                                                                       
  • Business of Bioscience
  • Clinical and Regulatory Affairs                                            
  • Medical Devices and Diagnostics
  • Pharmaceutical Discovery and Development

Students will take an interdisciplinary curriculum that will prepare them for careers ranging from research and development to business development to consulting. Courses are taught by faculty who have had experience in biotech corporations and understand the importance of a graduate-level education.
