KGI Mourns the Loss of Gary Cohen, Member of the SPHS Board of Advisors

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) today announced the passing of Gary Cohen, BSPharm, CSP, on Friday, September 18, 2015. A member of the KGI School of Pharmacy Board of Advisors since 2013, Mr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Long Island University and spent his career as a CEO in the pharmacy industry founding companies such as Pharmacy Power-Pak, Synergy Healthcare Communications, and Starfish Biologic. He most recently founded and was publisher for Specialty Pharma Journal out of Odessa, Florida.

“KGI has lost a respected leader and a dedicated volunteer, and the pharmacy community has truly lost one of its finest contributors,” said Kathy Webster, Founding Dean of KGI’s School of Pharmacy. “Gary was a true pharmacy advocate and had an extremely entrepreneurial spirit. He had a significant impact on the development of pharmacists and pharmacy students. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Cohen family. We will all miss him deeply.”
