To graduate from the MBM program, you must complete at least two specialty certificates. Each year, we offer a few different six-credit certificates on rotation, which include:

How to Apply to the Online MBM Program
Opportunity awaits at KGI. Start tapping into your potential by applying to our Master of Biotechnology Management program. To position yourself as a competitive candidate, we recommend submitting your application by the priority deadline of December 8. After that, we utilize rolling admissions.
When applying, you must include:

- Personal statement
- Résumé
- Letter of recommendation
- Transcripts from all previously attended institutions
- English language proficiency (TOEFL, PTE, IELTS, or iTEP is required for international students)
After you submit your online application, our team will carefully review your materials. We'll then contact you to schedule an admissions interview, where we can get to know you better and discuss your academic and career goals.
Our Admissions Committee is made up of faculty and senior administrators who thoroughly review each application. We consider your application in the context of the total applicant pool and in relation to our general admissions standards. We do not use arbitrary GPAs or test score cutoffs.
All admissions decisions are final for the academic year in which they are rendered.

Admissions Eligibility
To be considered for admission into the Master of Biotechnology Management program, you must:
- Hold a bachelor's degree by the start of the program (we recommend a science major)
- Have academic or professional experience in applied life science

The 30-credit curriculum comprises stackable specialty certificates, giving you the flexibility to study the disciplines that interest you most. During the MBM program, you’ll complete:
Certificate of Bioscience Management
9 credits
- BUS 5000 Introduction to Bioscience Industries (3 credits)
- BUS 5110 Corporate Finance (3 credits)
- BUS 5300 Competitive Strategy (3 credits)
Two Specialty Certificates
12 credits
Completion of at least two specialty certificates is required. Each certificate is six credits. A few different specialty certificates will be offered each year.
