
Kim Barrett
Vice Dean for Research and Distinguished Professor of Physiology and Membrane Biology for University of California, Davis School of Medicine
Barrett serves as Vice Dean for Research and Distinguished Professor of Physiology and Membrane Biology for University of California, Davis School of Medicine. She is responsible for implementing key initiatives and fostering partnerships across UC Davis Health and with other schools, centers, and colleagues throughout UC Davis. Barrett also leads the medical school’s collaborative efforts to develop UC Davis’ Aggie Square research program.
Prior to joining UC Davis in 2021, Barrett served in a variety of roles at University of California, San Diego’s School of Medicine, including as distinguished professor of medicine and director of the division of graduate education at the National Science Foundation.
Barrett earned her B.Sc. and Ph.D. from University College London, England.
