Stephen McCormack

Chief Scientific Officer of Shamekh IV Solutions, LLC; Managing General Partner for Exela, LLC

McCormack has served as Chief Scientific Officer of Shamekh IV Solutions, LLC since 2023 and has been the Managing General Partner for Exela, LLC since 2001. At Shamekh IV Solutions, McCormack leads their efforts to fundamentally rethinking global health security, with predictive AI, localized production, and strategic partnerships converging to create a new standard of care. In addition, McCormack serves as an advisory for Berkeley SkyDeck, a startup accelerator and incubator program at University of California, Berkeley.

McCormack was a founding member of the former KGI Advisory Board and served from 1999-2012.

McCormack received his bachelor’s degree in biology from College of the Holy Cross and his Ph.D. from University of California, Santa Barbara in biomolecular science and engineering.
