A familiar face to Keck Graduate Institute was introduced as the newest Board of Trustees member at the October 2025 meeting, with Ravneesh Sachdev, ‘06 MBS, joining on Thursday. Sachdev brings extensive expertise in business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields to the board, and currently serves as Chief Business Officer of Portfolio Companies for Aditum Bio in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“Our role as trustees necessitates a deep understanding of the Institute’s mission in order to provide governance and guidance,” said Board Chair Ross Grossman. “Having Mr. Sachdev on the Board, with his longstanding relationship to KGI as an alumnus as well as his professional acumen, makes him a great fit for this leadership role.”
“I have enjoyed getting to know Ravneesh through his work on our Bioscience Industry Advisory Board (BIAB) and I appreciate his enthusiastic support to KGI. I look forward to his contributions as a trustee as we continue to elevate excellence together,” said President Mohamed Abousalem.
Sachdev served on BIAB for one year and also previously served as a board member of corporate relations and an advisory council member for KGI. He was also a founding member of the KGI Alumni Board, where he served as chair of the admissions committee. Sachdev has also been an active participant in events like Resumania and the Student Mentorship Series.
“I am honored to be invited as the first alumnus to join KGI’s Board of Trustees,” said Sachdev. “My involvement with the institution stretches even before I enrolled as an MBS student in 2004, including attending President Schuster’s inauguration as a Claremont McKenna College student and writing my senior thesis on cutting-edge research that I had conducted at one KGI’s first spin-off companies, Ionian Technologies. I look forward to elevating my contributions as a Board of Trustees member towards KGI’s continued success.”
At Aditum Bio, Sachdev works with companies to create business development strategies and drive execution of financing transactions and strategic partnerships. Prior to Aditum Bio, Sachdev served in leadership roles at Apple Tree Partners, Acceleron Pharma (now Merck & Co.), Sage Therapeutics, and other national and international companies.
Along with his MBS from KGI, Sachdev also has an MBA from Yale University and a bachelor's degree in molecular neuroscience from Claremont McKenna College.
