Keck Graduate Institute is part of a digital film series released today called Project Remission, which explores how lifestyle medicine can be used to treat, reverse, and prevent chronic disease, with a specific focus on Type 2 diabetes. The series was created by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine in partnership with Content with Purpose.
KGI is featured in two films that run between 3 and 4 minutes — a thought leadership piece and a short documentary.
The thought leadership film features President Mohamed Abousalem and focuses on KGI’s patient-centered approach to education, with an emphasis on the work done to address chronic diseases like Type 2 diabetes.
The short documentary film follows Ana Melchor ’27, a second-year OTD student at KGI whose capstone project aims to grow education about lifestyle medicine in the Latino community to address diabetes. The film also highlights the personal connection to Type 2 diabetes that Melchor and her family has.
