Christopher Bridgeman, DHA, MPA, FACHE
Christopher Bridgeman, DHA, MPA, FACHE, is an adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program at Keck Graduate Institute, where he develops and teaches doctoral-level coursework in health policy. He is a doctorally trained healthcare executive, educator, and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, with extensive experience spanning healthcare operations, financial management, public policy, and organizational leadership across academic, federal, and clinical health system settings.
Dr. Bridgeman’s professional background includes senior leadership roles within the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. In these roles, he has advised executive leadership on complex budget formulation, operational strategy, regulatory compliance, and systems-level performance improvement within the nation’s largest integrated healthcare system. His prior experience also includes directing a $1 billion healthcare revenue cycle and leading hospital-based operations in acute care settings.
In addition to his executive leadership work, Dr. Bridgeman is an experienced educator with a strong focus on graduate and doctoral education. He has held adjunct and teaching appointments across Master of Health Administration, Doctor of Health Administration, Doctor of Medical Science, public administration, and business programs at multiple institutions. His teaching interests emphasize health policy analysis, healthcare finance, systems thinking, and evidence-based decision-making, with a commitment to competency-based education and applied leadership development.
Dr. Bridgeman earned his Doctor of Health Administration, summa cum laude, from the Medical University of South Carolina, where his doctoral research focused on correctional healthcare, examining patterns of diagnosis for patients admitted from and discharged to law enforcement settings. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. His professional practice and scholarship are grounded in advancing equity, ethical governance, and operational excellence in healthcare delivery and health professions education.
