Fida Salamah, DrOT, OTR/L

Dr. Fida Salamah joined the KGI OTD program as an adjunct faculty member in July 2024 and transitioned to full time assistant professor in July 2025. She teaches courses related to physical disabilities and rehabilitation, occupational justice, health equity, and care of adults and older adults.

Dr. Salamah earned her Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MOT) from the University of Southern California in 2012 and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (DrOT) from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. She brings with her over a decade of clinical experience in occupational therapy, with a strong focus on geriatric home health and outpatient therapy.

Dr. Salamah is passionate about developing her contributions in academia as well as supporting occupational therapy students and practitioners. For her doctoral capstone project, Dr. Salamah created a proposal for a cultural competence training program for occupational therapy practitioners. She has also contributed meaningfully to higher education, serving as a guest lecturer at various institutions on topics including the intersection of Muslims, Arabs, mental health, and disability.
