Jeb Butler, Ed.D.

Jeb Butler, Ed.D. is the Executive Director of Admissions and Outreach at Keck Graduate Institute. He joined KGI in November 2024.

With almost two decades of admissions and enrollment management experience, Butler provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach team members. He monitors key metrics, implements enrollment initiatives, and optimizes business practices to support the growth and sustainability of KGI's programs. He also ensures a positive experience for prospective students, creating processes to guide them from initial inquiry through matriculation while overseeing the training and development of the Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach teams.

Prior to KGI, Butler served as the Director of Operations and MBA Admissions Committee Co-Chair at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; Special Projects Lead at Harvard Business School; Director of JD Admissions at Columbia Law School; and Associate Director of Admissions at New York University. Before transitioning into university administration, Butler taught college writing and literature at Boston College and Boston University.

Butler holds a B.A. in English Literature & Language from Marymount University, an M.A. in English Literature from Boston College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UCLA, where he earned the Outstanding Ed.D. Dissertation Award.
