Tell us about the person you are nominating. Why are you nominating them?
Lexy is a fantastic person. They are a second-year MS student at KGI. They are incredibly caring and always tries their best to put a smile on people's faces. Having shared several classes with Lexy, I've been a direct witness to the extent of their compassion and their drive to see others succeed. From sharing their self-created quizzes to sharing study habits with others, I think this individual truly deserves to be recognized.
Briefly tell us about any contributions that this person has made to the KGI campus and/or the community.
Lexy has been an advocate for all types of social justice issues including those that face the LGBTQ+ community. From establishing and strengthing a connection between KGI and the other 7C's institutions as the co-chair of the Queer Graduate Union to supporting other on-campus clubs, Lexy has truly displayed what it truly means to be compassionate. Lexy is also a diversity and inclusivity chair for KGI Cares as well as the Vice president of Students Against Social Inequality (SASI) clubs here on campus. These clubs focus on human rights, mental health, wellbeing and legislation and fit perfectly with who Lexy is as a person. Lexy has been a part of creating a lot of successful events that focus on uniting students, developing healthy coping strategies and even the education of others concerning cultural, social and religious differences.

Lexy's pronouns include, (they/them/their). Lex is a fantastic chef as well as an awesome mystic. If you want to know anything about your horoscope, they are the person to go to. Oh, and they make fantastic banana bread.
