The program will introduce students to potential careers in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other biomedical industries.
The fully online, Summer Speaker Series at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) in Claremont, CA, will introduce students to potential careers in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and other biomedical industries.
Those participating will learn about a wide range of career alternatives from young professionals working in these industries. The program shares speakers from various backgrounds and is designed for those earlier in their career planning (such as lower-division students), as well as those who (due to work or other factors) cannot commit to the full-time summer program. To participate, students will need to register on the KGI events webpages.
Speakers will have expertise in the fields of consulting, clinical and regulatory affairs, finance, marketing, operations/supply chain, chemistry, manufacturing, controls, clinical trials; quality, market access/reimbursement, regulatory affairs, and project management. Those interested in KGI’s Master of Business and Science program or biotech in general are encouraged to join on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while those interested in other areas are encouraged to join on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Participants will learn about career alternatives in the biomedical industries to plan their educational and career choices better. Through the interactions and discussions with these KGI alumni, students will appreciate the day-to-day activities and challenges associated with careers in a specific area.
Free of charge. Participants are responsible for having a personal computer with broadband Internet access.
