The PA Summer Success Program (PASS) is designed to inform, excite, and empower high school, college, and post-graduate students to pursue a career as a physician associate/assistant (PA).

The three-day program will present information about the PA profession, real PA perspectives, and engaging clinical scenarios. After the program, attendees will better understand the profession, possible career paths, and the tools needed to start the journey.

    Application Requirements 

    An online application form is required that contains questions about your personal and educational background. The following additional materials can be submitted along with your online application but are not required:

    • Personal Statement
      • Please provide a brief statement (maximum 500 words, 12-point font, 1 inch margins) describing yourself and explaining why you want to participate in this program.
    • Resume
    • Transcripts
      • Unofficial transcripts may be submitted for evaluation purposes. Official transcripts are not required for admission but may be substituted for unofficial transcripts for admission review.
    • Letter of Recommendation (Optional)
      • Contact information for one recommender is optional during the application process. This person should be able to evaluate your qualification and potential for success in our program (such as an instructor, advisor, mentor, etc). More than one recommender can be submitted but is not required.
      • Recommenders will be contacted via email to submit their recommendation online. If they prefer otherwise they can email or mail a copy to the Admissions Office along with this recommendation form.

    Application Review

    The Admissions Committee will thoroughly and conscientiously review each application.

  • The PASS program is best suited for high school and college students interested in health professions, or college and post-graduate students preparing to apply to PA school.  This program is designed for students who have not yet applied or been admitted to a PA program.

  • There is a $20 application fee for the PASS program. Online participants are responsible for having a personal computer with broadband Internet access.
