The specific goals and details of the second Beckman Coulter, Inc. project are still in the discussion stages with the Beckman Coulter representative. Generally, the project will focus on two areas, Research to Diagnostic Transfer and Prion Testing. The Diagnostic Transfer area will include documenting the history of Beckman-Coulter’s (BCI) attempts in the area, researching industry models, researching the needs of the customer, analyzing the segment, and proposing models that BCI can use to successfully enter this area. The Prion Testing component will consist of assessing both technological applications and market opportunities.
