The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) is responsible for:

  • The effective and efficient dissemination of information related to  grants and contracts
  • Accurate and timely assistance with proposal and budget preparation
  • Oversight of regulatory, fiscal, and administrative activities related to grants and contracts
  • Authority as KGI’s Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR) to bind the Institute to perform under the awards as guided by Principal Investigators (PIs) and other appropriate administrators
  • To assure the KGI Board of Trustees, our stakeholders and constituents, our faculty and staff, and our students, that KGI has the necessary human resources, policies, and internal controls in place to provide fiscal and administrative accountability to our sponsoring organizations

ORSP supports faculty and staff in:

  • Identifying appropriate funding sources
  • Assisting with proposal and budget preparation
  • Routing proposal documents for institutional approvals
  • Reviewing contractual documents to ensure alignment with federal and institutional policies
  • Accepting awards
  • Managing all post-award activities
