Our institution has selected United Healthcare (UHC) as our domestic student insurance provider. Click here to view the 2021-22 KGI Student Insurance Plan. If you are currently covered by a comparable plan, you may waive out of the insurance plan. To waive out of the student health insurance plan please click here. If you do not complete a waiver for student health insurance you will be automatically charged $6,173 for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Our institution has selected Partnering in Global Health (PGH) as our international student insurance provider. If you are currently covered by a comparable plan, you may waive out of the insurance plan. To waive out of the student health insurance plan please email student_affairs@kgi.edu  a copy of your health insurance policy card. If you do not have health insurance you will need to enroll in the PGH Student Health Insurance plan by clicking here. The PGH international student health insurance plan is $699 for the 2021-2022 academic year.

  • All students enrolled full time at Keck Graduate Institute are required to have health insurance. Students can waive out of the student health insurance plan if they have comparable coverage.

  • If you are currently covered by a comparable plan you may waive out of the student health insurance plan. If you are domestic student, please click here to waive out of the insurance. If you are an international student please email student_affairs@kgi.edu  to waive out of the insurance. Deadline to waive is September 13, 2021.

  • The deadline to submit the waiver is September 13, 2021.

  • Once you complete the online waiver form, you’ll be prompted to a screen that will notify you whether your waiver was accepted or denied. If your waiver was approved you will get an email confirmation. If denied, you will get an email with instructions on the appeals process.

  • If you do not complete the waiver for the student health insurance plan before the deadline (September 13, 2021) you will automatically be charged. Domestic students will be charged $6,173 and receive full coverage for the 2021-2022 academic year. For more information on the health insurance coverage please click here.

  • If you do not request a waiver for the student health insurance plan before the deadline you will need to enroll in the student health insurance plan and pay $699 for the 2021-2022 academic year. For more information on the health insurance coverage please click here.

  • If you lose your health insurance plan, please contact Andrea Mozqueda at student_affairs@kgi.edu to discuss next steps.

  • Please allow 5-7 business days for Student Accounts to apply the fee waiver to your account.

  • Regardless of your health insurance coverage, all current students can utilize Student Health Services and Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services. Some fees may be charged for services at Student Health Services depending upon the type of treatment. Students are responsible for submitting medical claims to their insurance company directly.
